This policy explains the personal information that Vision Forward, LLC (“Vision Forward”), of which The Hot Mommas® Project ("HMP") is a registered trademark, collects from visitors and users of the website http://www.HotMommasProject.org/.  To confirm compliance with the policy, Vision Forward reserves the right to edit, amend, and change the rules mentioned in this policy from time to time.  The date of latest amendment is mentioned above.

Information Vision Forward collects

Information you provide

·         At the time of registration:  You have to create an online account to use some parts or features of the HMP website.  You will be required to create a user profile by providing personal information (such as Name, Address, Age, Phone, Email, Education, Marital Status, and Household Income.)  Depending on your privacy setting, your profile information will be available to other account holders of HMP website.

·         At the times of submitting a case study:  When you submit a case study for the competition, you are required to provide additional information to support your case.  The additional information you provide may or may not be visible with your case study depending on how we use your collected information.  Please read below for our policy about how Vision Forward uses your collected information.

·         At the time of sending any message to case study authors:  Vision Forward's hosting server saves a copy of any message sent through the website to a case study author.

Log information – When you access HMP website and case study library, the server automatically creates a log of user activities.  The information collected may include search queries, Internet Protocol address, ISP location, and the date and time of website access.  The server never logs any personal information which can be used to identify you.

How Vision Forward maintains your collected information

All collected information is stored, maintained, and processed in the United States by Vision Forward and its authorized agents.  Vision Forward reserves the right to change where collected information is stored, maintained and processed and will update this website in the event of any such change.

How Vision Forward uses collected information

Sharing – Vision Forward shares your personal information with the following:

1.      Website users – your profile and the information you mark public is available to all registered users of the HMP website.  You have the option to change your preference anytime you want.

2.      Readers – If you are a case author, readers of your case study may contact you through the website.  Vision Forward does not publish your contact information on the website.  The user will have to go through the website to contact you.  All communication from Vision Forward will contain “The Hot Mommas Project® Communication” in the subject line.  You are advised to create a relevant filter with your email provider to avoid having important communication from Vision Forward and its website users directed to your spam or junk mail folder.

3.      Sponsors – Vision Forward shares certain statistics with our sponsors such as total number of registered users, average age, and total number of hits on the website.  Vision Forward never shares any personal information which is not publicly accessible to our sponsors as a registered user of the website.

4.      Case authors – Registered and logged in users have an option to contact case study authors through the HMP website.  The case study author is provided your login id, your name, and your email address with the message that you send through the HMP website.  The author will have an option to contact you directly on the email address registered with Vision Forward.

5.      Judges – For the case study competition, Vision Forward provides its judges only a copy of the case study without any personal information of the author of that case that may be used to identify that author.

6.      Third party applications – Currently, Vision Forward does not support any third party application on its website.  In the future, if Vision Forward does support third party applications, the Privacy Policy will be updated to contain information on personal information shared with such applications.

Vision Forward never, under any circumstances, sells your personal information to a third party.  However, Vision Forward may disclose your personal information and the contents of your account if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or to protect the rights, property and/or safety of Vision Forward, its affiliates or the public.
